Even with thousands of kilometres under her belt, Dee Miller didn't look too exhausted after pulling into Chatham Thursday.
And never mind the elements, crashes or numerous punctured tires she's had to endure.
It's still all worth the effort,
said the Toronto woman, who is currently cycling across the province to raise money and awareness for cancer initiatives.
"I wanted all the smaller areas to be able to know about the program," Miller said. "And also know of other programs that are free."
Her 100-day journey -- which included such places as Ottawa, Kapuskasing and Thunder Bay -- began in Ajax in June and will finish back there on Sept. 17.
Miller, a cancer survivor, is the founder and executive director of Renewed Strength, a charitable organization which fills the gap for cancer patients who no longer qualify for specialized strength and mobility care.
Sometimes other cyclists raised money and rode alongside her for part of the route.
"It great to meet all the people," Miller said. "Every day you're in a new place. It's incredible."
She said defeating cancer is only one challenge patients must face.
