When Daniel Mongiardo came to Radcliff, Kentucky I had the opportunity to ask him about Single Payer Health Care. The audio is not as good as I would like, but there was too much interference to use a wireless mic.
As I have said in a previous post our goal here at http://www.hillbillyreport.org/ is not to criticize the Democratic candidates, but to inform you so you can make a decision in the Kentucky Democratic U.S. Senatorial Primary based on facts.

  • Thank GOD Conway won.

The Dems wouldn't have a chance if Mongiardo won.

  • of course they are

  • the rationing done by American insurance companies is tantamount to premeditated murder.

    check out this story

replace the _dott_ with a .

  • The question asked of Lt. Gov. Mongiardo is not entirely accurate - the "overhead costs" for Medicare are not lower - you are using percentages. Percentages are not lower overhead costs. Medicare patients typically need more health care over time and also more expensive treatments - which lowers the percentage of the administrative costs by comparison, but certainly does not mean lower administrative costs per patient. In fact, Medicare's are actually slightly higher.

  • Because Rep. Kucinich's facts are not facts.

  • And you do not think that there is rationing done by insurance companies in the US? Really?

  • LOL even democrats who have actually been Canadian doctors know that socialized medicine leads to rationing.

  • That's easy for an AMA member to say (the AMA vehemently opposes HR 676 or anything else that will shut down the gravy faucet), but just once I'd like to hear from an actual Canadian who can present medical records to back-up these claims of "long waits" for surgery.

And the good doc's "3 Years" claim doesn't match Rep. Kucinich's facts.
