Il 19 Luglio 1997 il Tour de France arriva, come quasi ogni anno, sulla sua vetta più celebre, l'Alpe d'huez. Questo però non è un giorno come gli altri per il ciclismo. Marco Pantani, il pirata , ha dentro di se' la forza per rendere quel pomeriggio indimenticabile.

The cheating is fuelled by money, commercial pressure. The sponsors want bang for their buck. It means more pressure on the riders.
A rider may want to stay clean but can't if he wants to stay with the cheaters, to have any chance. Maybe things have improved since 98, I hope so.
