  • Interesting, thanks for posting this.

Since people think in charicatures, and cultural landmarks lag, considerably, behind the march of time, I think its true that most northern people and urbanites generally don't understand the south today. Fred Reed makes a point that today's south is much more integrated than the north. Probably true. And organizations of all kinds thrive more on the problems for which they were founded than solutions, which would threaten their existence.

  • I feel ya brother..now i didn't agree with slavery that was going down here in the south but I also don't agree on How Abraham Lincoln went about trying to force the union back together and disguise it as freeing the slaves...I also do believe there is a place for the NAACP but the top head of the organization needs to be changed out we need better folks, its a noble idea but some of their methods now aren't right..Gbanville I hope you subscribed to the southern avenger, He's the man!

  • I did subscribe to SA. Thanks go to you for introducing me to him.

I'd say it should be a given that no one should agree with the institution of slavery.

Perhaps another time we could talk about the tendencies of organizations to subvert the purposes for which they were founded, and how one determines which still have value and which ought to be abolished. I'll just say that until I saw this video, it has been a long time since I've thought either good or ill of the NAACP.
