@asx5252 cuz she's the most authentic bel cantist, her technique is even better than that of Sutherland. I'm a huge Sutherland fan BUT, Joan can't sing some Mozart roles but Devia can, Joan canNOT do pianissimo but Devia can, Devia has superb breath control but Joan didn't (listen to the long phrased Lucia / Traviata parts, Sutherland has to "steal" breaths). Yes, Joan has superb trills and runs, but see, after years, Devia still has high notes breath control and her voice is still awesome.
