I've heard this poem read before, but seeing it put together in a video is so much more powerful. I wish everyone could have seen and known my wonderful mother for the beautiful and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend that she was to so very many. I miss you Mamma and am thankful that you are at peace now with our Lord and Savior. My prayer is that I will be a blessing to those whose lives have been stricken with Alzheimer's and also to their families.

I am in a Pre-CNA course that will shortly be going into the actual CNA course and we were supposed to watch this today at a facility we visited. People don't really look into who they are caring for. I do that is why I want to be a CNA

I'm a Long Term Care Ombudsman and we us the version of this that is a man. It is a DVD and we use it in our Sensitivity Training. We have presented our training to over 3,000 staff people over the past 7 years.At the end of the training we show this.

That is what it is about. Is that why we are in nursing? From health care assistants to physicians, we must remember to see the real person that we are to care for.

so true, to many, not just nursing sees a old grabby women, but we are not. We just need to be seen in a different light.
