Friends - Claymation Lip-Sync

You are thinking it and you are right. They are talking about what you think they are talking about.

A claymation film I made with my classmate Leath Mattner. A scene starring two good friends Adam & Brian. Or are they really that good friends?

Made as a combined acting and lip-sync excerice. I used the basic mouth shapes from celebrity Deathmatch (stick-on mouths) but let their body language do the real talking.

How you get it pitch black?

one spot light only for lighting (pluss white A4 sheet of paper for reflected fill light). 1/2 m behind them we had black cloth. The whole room we were in also had black walls and ceiling, but I'm not sure if that is essential.
