  • I like 911's, all chassis of them. But I think they are the only porsches to own, the boxster, panamera, chayenne, cayman, are all stupid pointless cars :)

    I owned a 996 carrera S 2 myself, I'm driving an audi A5 nowadays. I think I'll swap it with a 997...

  • @Baskentli I must say, the 911 is the "classic Porsche" ...it's the first thing that comes to mind when a person who doesn't know much about cars thinks of the name Porsche. On the other hand, though, I did start to like the Cayman after a while. I haven't driven one myself, but from what I hear, it handles better than anything else on the road (in 2009 it came in as #1 on a list of the ten modern sports cars in Motor Trend magazine, with the Mustang, Corvette, and 911 all on the same list).

  • Thats quite bad a cheap r32 nissan skyline is faster. It can do it in 4.0 sec

  • @gibrate1 What's your point? Yes, there are cars faster than the 911 Carrera. Post any video you want about your car going zero to 60 and I could always say something like "yeah, but ______ is faster!" So what? This video wasn't meant to be a comparison between different cars. Your comment doesn't really serve a point.

  • Is this the 3.2 300HP, Manual or tiptronic ? thinking of buying this car my self.

  • @CrimesSucks Sorry for the delay! It's a tiptronic. I like the idea of manual, but since I can't afford the $80,000 for a brand new 911, and decided to get a used one, it happened to be a tiptronic. It was still incredibly fun to drive. About 90% of the time I was in "manual" mode anyway, and shifted using those little switches on the steering wheel.

  • @dani75492 No, it's not. I owned it for years. It's a 2001 Porsche Carrera 996 Cabriolet. The 996 was the specific designation for the Porsche 911 models that were produced between 1998 and 2005 (when they came out with the 997, the newer version of the 911). Feel free to do a Google image search for "2001 porsche 996 cabriolet" and compare it to the side-view of the car at 0:10 sec into the video; they're the same. Also, you misspelled "Boxster."

  • @swordsman468 My friend has a cayman S, the slightly facelifted one. It handles like its on rails, but the only thing it can do is to handle... It just can't get going on the straights, a megane RS easily beats it. That is not acceptable under a porsche badge...

  • @swordsman468 if this were a ruf, it would kill pretty much anything

  • @gibrate1 Porsches still more awesome.

  • @gibrate1 Maybe, but the r34 will never be as cool as the 911. And the 911 ages much better. You also dont have to crank a 911 up to 9000 RPM to get it goin' .

  • sweet sound!
