My hops growing on my back deck. I know I need to clean it up and paint the rail, but there is beer to be brewed and hops to be planted!

  • I don't think that I am going to put them into the ground, not this year at least. The ground here is almost 100% sand, so it would take lots of topsoil and organic matter to make a hops friendly growing environment. By the time next year's growing season rolls around, I will have prepped the ground and transplanted them.

  • Hi, nice hops ;)

By any chance do you know how to plant hops from seeds? I got some seeds now and it's an avg of 70 F outside now.

    Can you help me?

    Thanks

  • Sweet! Are you going to transplant them into the ground?

Btw, my Cascades have been slow starters too.
