If you call this a good rendition of Che Gelida Manina then you're either tone deaf or completely clueless. He sounds hooted and pushed as always and his voice is not even suitable for the lyric role from the Italian repertoire. Needless to say, he didn't sing it in key.

I was there. He came straight from London after 7 extremely successful performances of Hoffmann. Two Bohemes in Vienna were memorable. Really wonderful, exciting. That's right, he is great musician and interpreter.

He is such a great interpreter and musician. I really wish him the best. Here he sounds good, though the sound is not as relaxed as it should be, it sounds a bit forced, but the tone is very beautiful. I hope he recovers.
