Lisbon is the capital and largest city of Portugal. It is the seat of the district of Lisbon and capital of Lisboa region. Lisbon has a population of 2.660.800 (2001), and the Lisbon Metropolitan Area in total has around 4.600.000 inhabitants (2001) concentrating in its area and sorroundings almost half of the portuguese population. Lisbon region is the wealthiest region in Portugal and it is well above the European Union's per capita GDP average.

I really love this city. Lisbon won me over. Something makes me adore her. I'm sure I'll come back to walk around its charming streets, beautiful sunsets and enjoy the friendliness of the Portuguese.

Eu sou brasileiro, mas não compreendo porque portugueses e brasileiros se desrespeitam tanto. É triste escutar expressões como: "brasileiro de m..." ou "expulsem os brasileiros"; ou "portugueses de m.". Somos países irmãos. Não adianta discutir o processo histórico da colonização. Mas, depois que o Brasil tornou-se país, há uma grande migração portuguesa no Brasil (especialmente açorianos) e há uma grande migração brasileira em Portugal. Podemos nos respeitar muito mais.
