  • I wanna get a box turtle of any kind are they expensive?

  • as a child Id see box turtles alot also wood turtles. Now they are all gone. I love turtles I think because Grants and woolworths sold baby turtles who Im sure all died an awful death.

  • hi i may be getting 2 eastern box turtles. just wondering where they are native to?

  • hello if given a choise the female tortise will lay her eggs in soft warm damp sand or soil at least 2 inches deep so provide this area for her that has easy access for her.. she probally laid them in the only damp place she could find or if this is her first batch she just may be clueless ... this happens alot.. also eggs are a lot tuffer than people think take a pencil and place an X on the top of the egg so you can see the top good luck !!

  • Theres 1 horrible person in the world who hates turtles.... Why would anyone hate baby turtles???

  • hello, I have a turtle that lays eggs then eats them all the time... I had two turtles and i wasnt sure if one was a male, but this year i have a third that i am sure is a male. today she lay an egg in water and i removed it when she was about to eat it. but she splashed around and im not sure it actually is facing the way she lay it. Please help, Ive own the turtle for over 12 years and never had babies.

  • @UncleBugEye if you picked it up, it is possible the eggs embryo will be dead if it even had one, when handling reptile eggs they have to be very carfully picked up and NOT rotated or turned over or upside down, they have to be handled and set down in the exact same position they were in when you found them, yes their eggs and the embryos inside are that fragile

  • @mrannotions turtles and most lizards dont protect their eggs, they simply lay them and then leave, sad i know, some snakes give birth to live young but others dont, some snakes do protect their nest, like crocodiles and alligators, but their one of the few reptile types that do

  • cant you help it ???
