I know what you need. First, u need to use dynamics. Secondly, u need to use the written dynamics. Thirdly, u need to over exaggerate all the dynamics. For example, the piece has so many crescendos and decrescendos already written in. Beethoven was a very emotional player and composer. At the beginning of the piece, it says "Moderato, con molta espressione." That means with a lot of expression. You're missing that. Add that in, and I'll give you my next tip.

I agree, but that is all the more reason to use even more dynamics. Also, I would challenge you to try to make every single note go somewhere. Either away or forward. If you can do that, you're technique is good enough that you can truly make this an amazing song.

Well, if people are dying that much to hear this song again, they will play it for themselves. lol I'm not professional, but to say that I listen to a ton of music is a gross understatement. lol The point is to grow personally as a musician, artist, and pianist. For the piano, I would recommend listening to Evgeny Kissin. His clarity of line is amazing! Check him out and tell me what you think.

Funny you should mention Evgeny Kissin. I've just been listening to him lately. :) Listening to a ton of music and playing it as well as they are two different things, but I thank you for your honest criticism.

Slow it down a bit and over exaggerate the Forte and Piano and crescendo and decrescendos. At the beginning of the the piece its marked to play it Expressiveo.

Other than that you're good to go.

pianodb is right, you are playing it straight-forward. Play it over and over and pay attention to how it says to play, as well as dynamics. Some parts should be quiet and then some parts should be loud. Just keep in mind what the song is called "Adieu to the Piano" and think how you can bring that sadness across.

Yes, Kissin is more technique, and Lang Lang is more feeling oriented. If only each had a lot more of the other, they could play jazz piano, which is just as great as classical piano. I won't comment on your technique because I am a pretty much self-taught piano player for the last 8 years. I also play the sax. Maybe I'll post a video of me playing something on the piano.
