Here a beautiful song from the great Buddy Holly and his Crickets, recorded in 1958. Pure rock-pop music for ever.

  • buddy, elvis, roy orbason, michel jackson and lennon and harrison still alive as far as im concernd

  • @Mogipoika - God Bless Finland and all the folks of the European Continent! You have always treated our Rock & Roll icons and geniuses with more respect and knowledge than their own countryman did here in the U.S. I am not just referring to the musical (and general history) ignorance of modern U.S. youth either. People overseas loved Buddy, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee, Gene Vincent, Little Richard and many others back in the late 50's & early 60's when the U.S. shunned them. Thank you!!

  • Thanks so much. Can you upload the same song "listen to me" sung by Raul Malo please?

  • One of the Great's, let him play those beautiful tunes that made us cry to God, they will surely make God weep.. R.I.P Sing to the heavens Buddy, Sleep tenderly & play that sweet guitar...

  • taken way too early.

  • The "woody" rhythm muted low strings punch through hard and tight, while the "jangly" lead part dances in the far back ground! . . . .CLASS! PURE CLASS!

  • Have been mourning Buddy since the "Day the Music Died", back in 1959. This song was one his very best.

  • just how big could he have been i know elvis was great but my god this man could have knocked all the greats off top spot brill absolutely brill

  • @nigelbruce232 true but,,,listen

  • @matt2004 "None of us could have made it without Elvis." ....... Buddy Holly

Buddy is a great performer, but the reason he got into rock and roll was because he went and saw Elvis Presley in Lubbock, TX in 1955. Buddy was a country artist at the time. Elvis helped him get started in rock.
