Senor Strickland, I'd really encourage you to explore those wave vortices more. Each of those clips has phenomenal scientific value. The same goes all the forms seen in your underwater shots showing the transitions from laminar to turbulence. Incidentally, the view of the North Shore through the wave face has got to be the coolest view of the North Shore ever.

As a DP I can't tell you how emotional some of your footage makes me feel. That BBC slow wave surfer footage is beyond beautiful. Your work is inspiring!

Love it. I especially loved watching how the turtle adjusted for the wave with his dorsal fins.

Is there anyway you have an HD version of this video? The filming and shots are amazing.

Crazy water angle of the empty waves...halfway under...so nice!!!
Awesome work! Just out of curiousity, what do you use on your housing's lens to keep the water beading off (especially in the surf shots)?

Thanks for the comment, human saliva is the only thing that works for stopping the water beading off, it keeps a fine layer of water on the front of the port and lasts for about 30 or 40 seconds before it starts to bead off, this is what all surf photographers use. not a good look if you leave the camera accidentally recording as you spit and lick the front of the port.
