Until Mom's milk comes in, baby gets all she needs from the tiny amounts of colostrum she nurses. This 'liquid gold' provides nutrition, antibodies and helps clear the digestive tract of meconium. Even though baby is not drinking large amounts, she is not starving. When Mom's milk comes in on day 3 or 4, baby will start to drink larger amounts and will develop more of an appetite.
While breastfeeding, mom gets uterine cramps (afterpains) brought on by the release of oxytocin that results from breastfeeding. This helps the uterus contract back to its normal size after birth.

I always wondered does that feel good for the women? cuz my girl loves it when i suck her nipples/titties and i always say wat the hell are u gonna do wen u have kids? it would be kinda weird gettin off to ur child suckin milk out of ur breast
I typed "oxytocin" and "uterus" into the search engine, and this seems like the kind of video that would show up. Much more realistic than a sketching with a laboratory voice explanation. But I guess also more specific and limited, hence all the weird comments. Moaning verses a diversional diagram with chemical names. Don't know which I like better. But the word cramps sounds like the word "craps". So breastfeeding-- more like giving a cramp? heh.
ok! u think im a tramP!??!??!??! well no im not i adopted this child! my freind couldnt handlea child so i tokk over for her! i think she needed help and when she was born they passed the babyc over to me! my freind was way to young to have a child she is 15 so she was 15 when she had the child! so i was nice enough to take over and plus the doctors figured out a way for me to breast feed the child so what now!??????????????????~!!!!!!! !!!!!?~!!!!!!!!!!!!?~~~~~~~~~? ???
