Little girl of Lavinia Funeral Romania Great Romanian Gymnast's Child

Denisa Florentina, the 4-years old daughter of Lavinia Milosovici, has died on Sunday morning due to a neurologic affection. The information was confirmed by the former multiple gymnastics champion.

The little girl was born prematurely through C-section on March 20, 2004 at 7 months of pregnancy. She weighed only 1.1 kg (less than 2.5 lb) and received an Apgar score of 1.

In July 2007 Denisa underwent surgery at a clinic in Beijing. She was the youngest child to go through such an operation.

Mihai Gafencu, former head of the Children's Hospital in Timisoara, knows this case very well. "I know this little girl's case very well, she was admitted to our Children's Hospital because she was having serious problems. These problems had already appeared during the pregnancy, and the child's development was not intrauterine. The little girl had problems with her neuropsychiatric development. It was a very serious case, and the doctors encouraged Lavinia not to go to China. It was hard to believe that anything else could be done, but we couldn't lose hope either", said Mihai Gafencu.

According to the quoted source, the little girl's condition worsened at home in Lugoj, and her parents took her to the Lugoj Municipal Hospital, where doctors tried in vain to resuscitate her.

Just want to ask a question. Why would Octavian Belu, Head Coach for the Women's Gymnastics marries the coach Mariana Bitang? He already married and has a first wife Camelia, a nurse, and he has a daughter Iolanda. It's good having Catalina Ponor, Head Coach Octavian Belu and Marriana Bitang back to Gymnastics sports.

I love Lavinia...I had know idea this happened :(
