The Webbots have forecast that by summer of 2011, airplane pilots would be wearing lead diapers to protect their family jewels from radiation exposure.and that folks would soon regret having taken that summer holiday by air travel due to the real levels of radiation being compared to 30 000 chest X-rays!

We are only Day 80 of Fukushima and authorities have mentioned how Radioactive fumes would continue to spew out for another year or more.
I don't recommend flying in the Northern Hemisphere.

  • You know, when you take a Geiger counter on a plane and rise in altitiude, your readings rise too. Your readings are due to cosmic radiation. This has been a well understood occurance for decades.

I took my GM on a plane a few months ago and go 360+ CPM. It hardly proves anything about radiation from Japan.

  • @antiprotons lol...you're funny...of course it rises but levels are even higher now!..just in now!

ALL this radiation has been slowly building up in the Northern atmosphere.

" “People who take a transatlantic flight are exposed to a radiation dose 40,000 times as high as the one detected recently, the Vienna health ministry said.” " enenewsDOTcom/just-in-iodine-131-now-detected-in-several-european-countries-iaea-believes-levels-do-not-pose-a-public-health-risk-not-from-fukushima

  • From the EPA:

"For a typical cross-country flight in a commercial airplane, you are likely to receive 2 to 5 millirem (mrem) of radiation, less than half the radiation dose you receive from a chest x-ray. People in the United States receive an average of 360 mrem of radiation per year from natural and man-made radiation sources, which includes cosmic radiation exposure during commercial flights."

OK, lets say a "Typical Cross Country Flight" is 4hr long. The video shows 2.5 to 3 mR/hr.

  • @robertmesserjr you said> "So this is at least 4 times the normal radiation, which means that a person is getting around 3 to 5 chest x-rays per round trip flight, and this doesn't include the radiation their getting from the full body scanners. EPA flight radiation: epa.gov/radtown/cosmic.html "

I see U looked into it..well according to Webbots this "3 to 5 chest x-ray" will rise to much higher levels. US official said it would take over a 1yr for radioactive steam to be stopped spewing, shit!

  • @connectingdots1 I was wondering about one more additional detail on the flight, please, what was the day/time of the flight? Thanks in advance.

  • @bearishtrader it's from a series of videos ,starting in Japan heading to Bangkok and back to Japan again.

He left Japan at night and the ascent which is the video I've uploaded had higher radiation levels than all 3 other vids from the planes. The radiation was the highest at the 20 000 to 30 000 feet level, this becomes more evident on the return flight during daytime. the meter goes high once ot twice but for the overall return trip it didn't sustain & reach the same levels for nearly as often

  • If a TSA goon squad doesnt get you Fukushima or space radiation will....so much for Globalism and NWO. Seems local is making more sense every day. Time to collapse the system reneg on debt, slap tariffs on all imports.....and rebuild our local economies

  • Damn that's not good for you!

  • @antiprotons to add.. their is new radiation in the skys, but to get a reading like this is not going to work and show the real issues.. Now back to gdr.org and why radiation is there is the skys. Its from space and the atmosphere is a shield.. in that is something to look at, a shield that can be copied.

  • @antiprotons IN years past, before most of you cared about radiation, i was working on ways to deactivate it via gdr.org, and 10 years ago posted one of the issue of radiation is from flights.. when you go above 20,000 feet, there is a lot of gamma.. my warning then and now is to be careful of wearing metals on your body when flying.. Bras with wires, to keys and change in your pockets.. why? because it can centralize radiation in those areas. FAA manuals have their issues to see as well.

  • hope your wrong.NUKE POWER SUCKS

  • @connectingdots1 lol Well, my gamma spectrometer has not picked up too much yet.

The 131 I has not yet been linked to Fukushima, has it? The decay constant for both common radioiodines is quite sharp. I think it's 1x10^-6, give or take, for 131 I. That's a madd short halflife to be causing such readings. Consider the Bq per cubic meter required.

I'll give my next rain storm a check, but right now I am testing light salt. lol

  • wow you get radiated at 32k ft ? who would have guessed

  • Okay, this is the only thing I've heard about the radiation in the entire northern hemisphere being supposedly "elevated" due to Fukushima. Period. This detector won't detect Iodine particles, but it sure will detect rays from space.

I'd like to see some hard science rather than one goof with a geiger counter.

  • This isn't a constant 350CPM, and it's not a moving average. You would need a digital counter with a timer set to 10 min (or longer, then divide the total count by the number of minutes) for obtaining a more accurate reading of the actual CPM.

This is probably more cosmic gamma radiation than anything else as beta and alpha outside of the plane would not be able to radiate through to the inside (though it could be contaminated on the inside, but that would probably be hard to determine).

  • @FooFooTheClown its a forcasting tools that was developed for stocks and trrends but became erily able to collect enough data, merge the data and "predict" the future ...theoretically....I just got my lead pj's .....:)
