  • In TKD blocking is very important, but only in real life. In competitions like said before, blocking is suicidal because of leg strength. True flips and stuff is rarely done, it's for show, but the speed, flexibility, and strength shown is what TKD is really about, truly a fine example to why we can kick ass.

  • Then watch the video where a TKD fighter defeats a Muay Thai fighter or the one where a TKD fighter kills an other one with a head kick. I can give you the names if you want.

  • @varkonyimihaly pass me the names ?

  • crap art

  • wonderful!!!!!

  • i like how when they do the stack of bricks and he chops them they all break its fake bruce lee said it once in a interview a long time ago

  • 0:22 is awesome :o and also lots of impressive kicks. I'm amazed.

  • Anything is effective against someone that doesn't know anything...

  • that would be waste of time really as the methods used in points fighting would have to be unlearned. What I did with students was teach thai boxing methods and increase contact as their confidence developed always with proper equipment

  • what about bill ( superfoot) wallace he came from a point fighting back ground then became an undefeated kick boxer. point fight is a good way to start your martial arts career then when you are confident enough with your techniques you can progress on to full contact many many martial artist start this way.

  • i never said that at all your totally mis understanding me. all i was saying is that if you want to be a prize fighter than muay thai is probally your best bet for stand up which of course you can still use for self defence. where if you dont want to ring fight but still want to learn how to defend your self then the more traditional arts are for you. any martial art will allow you to defend yourself.

  • So I guess because it's a sing sport now it's not effective in a self defence situation... hope you know there's no such thing as self defence, only fighting... cuz what are you doing when you're defending yourself? you're fighting... Iuno about you, but I fund it very useful if the other person is unarmed...
