In his speech at the 2010 American Federation of Teachers Convention, Bill Gates commended AFT members for their commitment to supporting historic reforms in public education and called for continued focus on school reforms that are shaped by the knowledge and experience of teachers.

@catothewiser :Well maybe mr. Gates realize that whites kids have bigger advantage of kids of color in terms of acces to better education. You can make excuses all you want but its the truth.

The Gates Foundation's Millennium Scholarship expressly excludes Whites - why is that not advertised? Because you know it is wrong.

USA's rank in education has fallen behind other countries'. Not so good in terms of globalization. People disagree about Bill's speech but complains about outsourcing of jobs to countries like India and China, which makes no sense. I'd say who cares about right or wrong? If you won't stop being part of the problem and start being part of the solution, then just exercise your right to shut it.

He already made a travesty of education with his SMALL Schools...so now let's blame the teachers....how about just giving a few billion dollars to feed kids in poverty, buy them books and send them to college...I cannot stand this guy and shame on you AFT./
