This piece I wrote in remembrance of our old family rocking chair which my mother inherited from her mother and I have now inherited. My thoughts began to wonder what stories this rocking chair could tell if only it had a voice and that is where and how this piece of music originated. I hope you enjoy it. It is available on my CD "One Way Home" which you can purchase at my webshop on my website, http://www.david-qualey.com

  • Hi Mr David,

I really enjoy your music and plyaing,

a little suggestion, please list individual song and score for us to purchase buy downloading, etc. i also do this with Frederic Mesnier, Peo,etc

if ( us from far-far away ) buy a CD, the freight cost is too crazy,

    This is digital era.

  • Many thanks! All of my scores of original compositions are available as PDFs at my website. In the near future my recordings will be available on iTunes and other internet download shops. Ciao for now, David

  • Very nice. I like it a lot. Don't take this the wrong way, but it sounds likes a banjo tune. I would love to hear a guitar/banjo duet of this.

    thanks for posting this tune.

  • @ManwithAx ... I don't believe I've ever heard a "banjo tune". A banjo is an instrument with a particular sound. The way in which I play the guitar on this piece might remind you of a "banjo sound", but it could just as well be played on a piano, a harp, or any other polyphonic instrument. It's nice to hear you enjoy the music. Thanks, David BTW, I love good 5-string banjo playing and have a banjo myself.

  • To the people that have not seen and heard this video. They are missing a very pretty and very easy to listen to. Have played it several times each time is even nicer to listen to

    Thank You Very Much
