Her Living Legacy

Story:

Yuna is the daughter of the Royal Family of Archadia, and Seymour is the King of Spira. Yuna's guardian, Gabranth, asked for her hand in marriage, and from there they could do whatever she wanted. Keep it secret, go away from the kingdom, stay in the Royal Courts. He would do as her heart wished.

Unwilling to subject Gabranth to such a secret marriage, she tells him of what must be done for the country. She has to marry Seymour in order to ensure peace between Archadia and Spira.

She marries him according to her duty as princess, and Gabranth stays behind with the King of Archadia, according to his duty as General and Knight.

A year goes by, and Yuna has born a child. Six more go by, and she has committed suicide. Ten more slide by, seventeen since she has married, and Spira has declared war upon Archadia.

Gabranth's orders are to kill the King or the Prince of Spira, should he find them in battle. As the war rages, Gabranth faces a sharp shooter from across the gulf. They exchange arrows. Gabranth's arrow clips the other marksman.

He watches the armored soldier fall, and when the other Generals move to continue on, he remains behind. Something tugs at him to look into the lad that fell, and as he approaches, he sees a shock of blue hair fall from the man's helmet.

The Prince of Spira...or princess?

She looks up at him, big eyes, pointed chin, and proud expression. The King of Spira lied, said that Yuna had bore a male heir, when in fact she had had a young girl. Gabranth, kneeling next to her, can't move.

She glares, awaits for the stranger's sword to end her, and when the blow does not come, she looks at his eyes deeper. All she sees is a man lost in despair, a man staring a ghost in the face.

With the moment she has, she casts the spell her mother taught her to use in emergencies, to call for help. The light of her magic sores true into the sky. To her, she is uneffected usually, but with Gabranth so close by, she experiences the same thing he does in lue of the spell.

She sees his memories, all of which pertain her mother, and gasps.

It was him, the one her Mother could not stand to be apart from any longer. The man she died for out of love sickness.
The man she left behind in Archadia.
Her only regret.

This video is kinda just out there. I've been dyng to use Kingdom Hearts III clips for forever now, and Gabranth just doesn't get enough love. And who looks like a good mother and father for Aqua? Yuna and Seymour! So...yea, thus this was born.
