@nickellization Hi there, thanks for the question, you only need to clean amber when you feel it is dirty, it is really up to you. Best way to clean it would be with soap and water, if there is silver, use a silver cloth. Once your done if you would like you can put some alcohol onto it to sterilize it before putting it into the ear. Hope this helps. Let us know if you still have questions.
P.S. To clean it less, store it in a plastic bag, and squeeze all air out.
