  • You could use this in various escapes from the bottom to make space and come up into a neutral position.

  • but if your leg comes out that far, aren't you giving up your back? Just a question

  • @AdilBadil no pulling the leg back allows you to come up on your knees creating more space and allowing you to reengage your opponent in a neutral position or if your quick on top.

  • @kamhal89 its very good technique. This is called threading the needle and is used to go to all 4s position, you have to take the bottom leg off the floor to do that.In a regular shrimp, the leg still comes off the floor.Theres no mount in this video ,its a side mount escape.

  • @kamhal89 hes showing it slowly for the demo, this is perfect technique.

  • @revsof usually its to go to turtle and then single or double leg or granby back to open guard

  • In which position do you use this?

  • @kamhal89 And by the way, the shrimp is a fast, short escape, hope you understand that in the future. You want to do it, you have to do it fast, short and technically perfect, not this wide, slow movement and escuse me, kind of sloppy movement.

  • Dude, this is very bad shrimping right there...

    1) Never in your life bring you leg that far or your foe will mount you again, or even worse, take your back

    2) One of the very basic things that separates a good from a bad shrimp is the moving leg. The leg MUST be stick to the ground in order to have a good escape, in fact this sole detail may determine if you can or can't escape, and your leg is SO high. Any guy with good mount will deny your shrimp.

  • is this meant for if the guard is passed and mounted or side mount?
