I saw Edwene Gaines teaching about the 4 laws of prosperity and forgiveness was one of the four. She said she did 77 statements of forgiveness for 7 days (she got the idea from the conversation Jesus had with Peter when Peter asked how many times are we to forgive, 7? And Christ said 77 x 7)

When I heard that, I did the same thing, I wrote 77 statements of forgiveness in my journal for 7 days.

The revelation in it was how much resistance I had to forgiving (especially forgiving me).

I never pressured myself to forgive those who abused me in early childhood; in fact, I cursed them for years [they were dead], and that made me feel a lot better! But eventually, I noticed that I *did* start to forgive them ...cuz I realized there were causes for their cruelty, even if I can't know the reasons.

Honestly,

a big obstacle to forgiving is that ppl equate it with letting someone off the hook. It's not. If a wrongdoing is intentional, it will have its price.
