  • @kkostas21925 Believe it or not the name was actually a nickname of former vocalist and Sax player Nik Turner, who had a habit of 'hawking' (English slang - raising phlegm in the throat) and farting (breaking wind), later on Dave Brock offered a more sensible explanation to the name; the hawk being an important historical symbol in both Egyptian and Pagan mythology, and the Japanese proverb "Better to be the hawk that flies over the forest than the eagle that flies over the mountain".

  • @mk3nog nogi i was there too with you. Michael Moorcock threw some books into the crowd and there was a massive scramble for 'em and guess what? I got one!!!! only problem was, it was in german!!! it's now in the loft somewhere gathering dust.

  • @WeHaveExplosive yes m8....wish i could go back and see all again....as we all do....they just done a gig at shepherds push empire..wish i had gone..but sometime things are best left as memories...to a point with certain bands if members have changed keep the memory the same.... lemmy days were fantastic..silver machine etc...tho i was only 12 then..lol... my best album got to be worrier on the edge of time..
