Coraline Jones (Dakota Fanning) is bored in her new home until she finds a secret door and discovers an alternate version of her life on the other side. But when this seemingly perfect world turns dangerous, and her other parents (including her Other Mother voiced by Teri Hatcher) try to trap her forever, Coraline must count on her resourcefulness, determination and bravery to escape this increasingly perilous world and save her family.

I love horror movies and dont get scared by most of them and yet I am terrified by this! Its so scary!!! But so good--I just watched it again and loved it although I got very scared

This movie is great. Not only did it get a lot of attention from critics, but it's some of the most masterful stop motion ever that does great to the mood of the original novel. My sisters were scared of it, but I was entranced in the theaters, having to watch it another 5 times in the same month since. To fans of the movie, the makers are creating a new stop-motion masterpiece, ParaNorman, which is about a kid who lives in a town that is besieged by zombies. =D

I remember waiting in line for "Cofessions of a shopaholic" (Which later turned out to be one of the worst movies I had ever seen) And I managed to sneak in to the theater when this movie was playing. I DID NOT want to leave the theatre! I was hooked instantly! The world was so creative and dark and wonderful! 10000 times better than that..."other" movie...*Shudders* Coraline is an awesome book and movie!

I can't believe how a movie made for children can be so terryfing and cool at the same time.

The last part-when her other mother turned into a spider...ugh...-SCARED ME TO DEATH.
