Beginning of the chapter on 'other organisms in my undergraduate thesis project, entitled 'Tardigrades'.

**Watch the full documentary at http://www.vimeo.com/1317360 **

This is only a short selection from the film, and an even smaller selection from the masses of stock footage and b-roll shot. I believe, the organisms in this section are as follows:
Class: Gastropoda (snail) 00:00
Family: Planariidae (planaria) 00:39-01:08
Class: Turberllia (planaria) 01:08-01:23
Family: Planariidae (planaria) 01:23-01:28
Family: Gammaridae (gammarus) 01:28-02:01
Genus: Stylonychia (ciliate) 02:08-02:28

The full thesis film is a 20 minute natural history documentary on tardigrades, rotifers, nematodes, and other micro and meioscopic organisms. The production process went on for 11 months of 2008. Over 190 samples were taken from mosses, soils, leaf litter, water bodies, and the like. Six of the samples contained tardigrades.

  • Weird seeing the planaria moving around, very cool, much better than seeing it on a slide. Nice tune as well.
