Should've Said No (A Nick Jonas Love Story) Chapter 21

*Nick's POV*
I ignored Joe's words and got into my bunk. I mean Natalie's.
We all drifted off to sleep.

We woke up at 7 am. Pretty late. We had to go through a bunch of interviews.
"Alexa, wake up." I lightly pushed on her side. She groaned.
"Mom, I don't think Alexa's okay. I think she's sick." I said as my mom came onto the bus.
"Let me take her temperature." My mom said and took out the thermometer from the cabinet.
"Oh dear..." she said as it beeped.
"What?" I concernedly asked.
"99.7. We have to get you to a doctor."
"But what about the interviews?"
"You'll have to go without her," my mom said.
"But-"
"I'll take her," Devon offered.
"Me too." Natalie said.
I looked down at Alexa and rubbed the top of her hand in circles with my thumb as I took hold of it.
"Does she really have to go? I want her to stay." I said.
"Yes Nick, if you want her to feel better." my mom said to me.
"But..."
"Nick, you'll be fine. Now get up and change." Joe said. I sighed and got up.
"I'll be back Lexy," I walked into the bathroom.

After I was done, we were supposed to go but I wanted to stay with Lexy.
"Nick, come on." they said.
"Nicky," Ash dragged me to the door.
"I'll see you soon Alexa! Hope you feel better!" I shouted as she dragged me out.
When we did the interview, I could only think about Alexa and if she was ok or not.

*Devon's POV*
Lexy threw up 2 times. Man, she really is sick. We took her to the doctor and he said that it was just a stomach virus. He gave us some medicine and we left.
The boys were coming back to the bus soon. Alexa was asleep.
"Where is she?!" Nick said as he ran in.
"Shh, she's sleeping." I said but that didn't stop him from pulling the curtains away.
"Nick, she's sick." Natalie said.
"Haha, that rhymes," Joe said with a smile across his face.
"Nick! Ew, get away from her. She's probably germ infested." Ashlee complained. Kevin wrapped his arms around me, resting his chin on my right shoulder.
"Nick, stand up and lets go." Kevin said.
"But she's my best friend! I have to make sure she's okay!"
"Nick, she's fine. It's just a stomach virus." Natalie said.
"Yeah, we'll look after her. You guys can go get ready for the show." I said. He sighed and stood up.
"Fine. But remember, she only eats the dinosaur shaped chicken noodle soup. And you have to blow it for her otherwise it'll be too hot. And she-"
"She's not three Nick. She's 19." I reminded. I pushed them out the door. They were already running late.
"Bye Mrs. Jonas! Bye Kevin," I kissed his cheek and let them leave.
I plopped down on the couch besides Natalie after putting the soup on the stove.
"Why does Nick treat her like such a baby?" I sighed.
"What do you mean?" she looked up from her magazine.
"Haven't you noticed? He doesn't like it when guys talk to her and the way he acted just now as if she was four or something."
"That's true... maybe her being sick just brings back memories or something?"
"Or something... she gets pushed around by him. Like when he cheated on her repeatedly, I would've slapped him right then and there if that was me." Natalie laughed.
"Yeah, she's blinded by love."
"I think she's waking up." I looked over to her bunk and she was moving around.
"Wake up Lexy," I sang. She sat up and wrapped her blanket around her. I watched her inhale the sent of the soup I was making.
"Did you get me the dinosaur shaped ones?"

So... Nick's overprotected eh? lol.
You guys really must hate Ashlee, lots of death threats... lol. See, I feel bad for the people that are mean in the story...
And, like, Nick's girlfriends for the other stories are going to be nice. Both of them are gonna be nice. Haha. Not the main character tho. But I won't have a contest for that until... March next year lol.
