You call yourself educated when it comes to cars, yet you believe the Bugatti Veyron only is good at having a high top speed? So, why did the Super Sport be one of the fastest car around the top gear track ever? That implies that it can handle pretty well too. You are wrong, there is a lot of prestige in having the fastest car as a manufacturer, whether practial or not. That is why Koeniggsegg, Ultimate Aero and such are competing for the title of having the world fastest car.

@Giveittomeish2 ....the speedometer becomes inaccurate, they are designed measure correctly after 193kph/120mph, unless you drive an AMG, they use a combination of technologize.

I found this on wiki "It can accelerate from 0–62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds and reach a theoretical top speed of approximately 275 mph (442.569 km/h), making it faster than a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, although this has not been officially verified." I am not saying its not possible that can not move that fast, but they have not made their official test run yet, and when they do they have to use special devices to calculate the speed as the....
