I love her too. I liked her a lot in 21 Grams. I haven´t still seen this film, but I'm on the way. I love Lars Von Trier's films. I'll tell you once seen.
One of the best films this year...if you are soul searching or reflecting on a failed relationship, that is. Otherwise, I strongly suggest avoiding seeing this film. It won't make sense to you...unless of course you are willing to honestly reflect. For anyone who has been hurt, given himself unselfishly to save another soul. You know how it turned out ;)
Read up on the director. His films are OUT of Hollywood Industry. And no, it's not about the shock value, it's about being able to feel a true pain and understand what relationships are about. The self mutilation is symbolic. Hard to watch - yes. But maybe truly necessary within the content, the arc and the point of the film.
