The Harley EL series, nicknamed the knucklehead, remained fundamentally the same from 1935-1947. Developed in 3ds max, this model was built from reference photos, the owners manual and frequent visits to a Harley museum in Santa Cruz, California.

Getting all the fine details to the original stock bike was important, such as fins on the chrome side covers and the rusty metallic nuts and bolts that hold the vehicle together. Even the tread was built in geometry and a refractive glass cover placed over the speedometer and dial objects.

Set up for tessellation, the Harley can render photo-realistic shots under almost any condition. This model is available for purchase at:

  • That was actually pretty cool. I dig motorcycles and CAD!

  • Nice work! Wish it was longer, though! Thanks!
