Rahul Easwar explaining the difference between Makara Jyothi and Makara Vilakku. Makara Jyothi is the celestial star that is worshipped and Makara Vilakku is the symbolic lighting of the lamp in Ponnambalamedu.

Dear Brother, Congratulations for your second edition. I knew that Mahabali did not rule Kerala and also that Mr.Parashurama did not create Kerala. I was reflecting on what Mr Easwar was saying on the video. May be we need more Parashuramas for making Kerala vasayogyam in the present state of affairs.

Namaste The Hindu Parliament, you are right! I precisely asked the same question how many centuries back did Lord Parusharama establish the temple. He was born before 3000 BC. I understand he was a Chiranjeevi. He supposedly created Kerala but it seems Kerala did exist during Vamana avathar and was ruled by King Mahabali. Then what is the meaning in saying Sri Parusharama, the avathar following Vamana created Kerala! If I am wrong, please give the details.

For your information I am a well educated Brahmin who follows Vedas and scriptures in its true sense. I think, I have enough knowledge to distinguish between superstition and God. I would suggest you to read some scriptures before you reply on others comment. A Hindu parliament cannot be formed by a group of Hindus who claim they have enough knowledge but with out understanding Vedas. Swamyie Sharanam Ayyappa, please save these people.
