Taylor Pass, 18, of Eagan now faces two counts of second-degree murder, one with intent to kill and the other while committing a felony, for allegedly stabbing two people April 7 in Burnsville.
He also faces one count of second-degree attempted murder and second-degree assault, both felonies.
Pass appeared in court this morning. No plea was made, but his new bail is set at $750,000 without conditions and $500,000 with conditions. His next court appearance is 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 4.
The new murder charges carry up to 40 years in jail, the attempted murder charge carries up to 20 years in jail and the assault charge carries up to 10 years in jail and a maximum $20,000 fine.
The Dakota County Attorney's office amended the charges almost two days after one of the stabbing victims, Tina SanRoman, 35, of Burnsville, died from complications of a stab wound to the abdomen. Her body was brought to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner April 15 to determine cause of death.
The other victim in the incident, Odai Al-Refo, was released from the hospital April 10. He received stab wounds to the neck and back. Al-Refo was paying rent to sleep on SanRoman's couch at the time of the incident.
