Tim Goebel was so cute. What a smile! He should have given the others lessons in how to thank the crowd. :)
Alexei Yagudin was brilliant and quite handsome. Too bad injuries took him away from skating so soon; he was a genuine treat to watch, especially his speed and footwork. A real champion.

I was there! I was sitting behind one of the skeleton athletes from the Czech Republic. Something that happened earlier in the competition, that was a real inspiration. One of the athletes (I can't even remember from where anymore), slipped and fell. He got up again and continued. He fell again, and it looked *very* painful - but he got up and finished anyway. The applause from the crowd for him was *almost* as loud as for the medal winners. It was awesome.
