We are lucky enough to have been invited by John Wesley to hook up with him at sound check for a quick look at the rig he's been using over the 13 months of touring with Porcupine Tree. It was recorded at sound check so its gets a bit noisy, but you'll get the idea..

  • God I want a Gig Rig.

  • @sportsportsport you should get one ;)

  • @TheGigRigDaniel I would get one but I need to find a pedalboard and case that will take all my pedals and the gigrig on it. I've currently got a Pedal train pro with 14 items on it including volume and wah. I'd love to have 14 sounds, instantly at my disposal. What I prefer about this over the TC G system is the fact I prefer 'seeing' my settings on my pedals with knobs on! makes tweaking sounds easier and I know what's going on. are you in stock on everything? even the lava cable bundle?

  • @sportsportsport we have been working around the clock to catch up on orders and have very limited numbers, but yes, today we are in stock. I certainly need to see my pedals, I'm always tweaking.

  • hi @InfinityPRS. Yes he does, but the G-system is inside the loop of his MIDI 8. When he's going straught into the amp he bypass the G-System completely with his MIDI-8. There's a quick shot of his rig in the opening sequence of this video

  • @jpmna01 You mean John? as for steve he uses the G-system by T.C. electronic! :)

  • @MayhemLeader nope, no noise gate. The Pro-14 takes all the extranious pedals out of the signal path when they're not being used

  • John "Wes" Wesley has TWO Cameron modded Marshalls - i helped him obtain the killer Orange one while he was on tour. it's a great amp - and if you wanna play thru it, all you gotta do is book some time at his studio Red Room Recorders in Tampa when he is not on tour. -- When it comes to all the cool sounds and heavy lifting on the Porcupine Tree tour shows -- that's mostly Wes - he is a monster, and spend months dialing in all those sounds......

  • You can see Lasse Hoile in the back at 2:44 making photos
