HD Helmetcam bikecam bicycle vlog on bikepath by day and night

Just testing out my poor man's HD POV helmet cam setup using a Canon SD780IS in 1280x720 HD mode mounted atop a bicycle helmet via small plastic mini tripod secured with velcro and duct tape.

Velcro and duct tape, the two magic inventions that solve many problems.

Lots of motorcycle vloggers out there, but thought a view from a bicycle would be unique. Not as dramatic as footage at 55mph of course.

Just random ramblings about the LX3 and my rolling camera bag on two wheels setup, aka my bike the Trek Valencia.

I highly recommend it. I've tried a few bikes that cost a lot more, but liked this one since it was more fun to ride and handles well.

Thanks, yeah the mount works well, but it does attract a lot of attention. The chest mount works a little better, but then I need to wear a backpack to secure the setup. Yeah, SoCal isn't very bike friendly.

Hey man, cool vid! I honestly think your camera setup is way better, and safer, than mine. But we all come up with our own solution for things I suppose. I wish California had bike paths like you have over there!! I'm so jealous!
