Check the Buick Farm, the BOC of America, the Dreamcars Reg. of Sweden...
There's lotsa beauties on four wheels in the USA amid forties & fifties, yes. But, men, the '49 'Nette is far out of contest.

What's this tube thingy hanging high on the passenger side?

@michaelXXLF It's a pull-shade style air conditioner. When the shade is pulled down the shade material is charged with water. When it is charged one let's the shade retract into the tube. Air is forced into the tube while driving, cooling the water on the shade material. The cooled air then enters the passenger compartment cooler than the outside air.
