Watch a bit of johnjo kelly or martin o'neil, now they can play

Actually you are quite incorrect, you couldn't be farther from right if you tried lol. The word bodhran, is speculated tobe the gaelic word for "skin tray" as they were originally used to gather the peat used for fires. This comes from people much more educated then yourself I am sure.

Might I suggest slowing it up a bit, or striking the drum with a little less force? I really enjoyed the tune, but it seems like you strike the drum maybe a little too hard - that could be for any number of reasons - anyway, maybe play a few slower/softer songs and see if you can hear/feel the difference. Anyway, I really like the tune, and I'd say you're a fine player :)

You play well. Better than me who owns an instrument but has not played it. (Right now it's just for looks, but I may learn.)
The tone qualities of your instrument, though, are less than impressive. It almost seemed too high and tight somehow. I hope you have since gotten an instrument (or is it merely a better microphone for recording the video?) to show off your true talent.

The bodhrán is not an easy instrument. It takes an hour to learn the basics, but a lifetime to master. I reckon you are coming along quite well. Keep it up!

all u guys can say what u like coz i play it too and he was good

sounds good to me, looks like it takes a lot of work, good job!

bad example
Earplugs please! Not a bodhrán, more the top cut off a tenor side drum. I know that the word comes from the Irish word bodhar meaning deaf but that is too much! Bodhrán means a drum or a deaf person. Nuff said.
