Does anyone no wat his financial situation was like?? Im really curious. Im sure he had royalties. But im not sure if he wood have even accepted them. Yeah its a pretty sad story. I dont think you can blame any1 in the band for his demise, or screwing him over. It just came down to tragic circumstrances. And mostly related to LSD damage to the brain.

@nightmuffin937 It wasn't his choice to lead a different life. He might've suffered from retrograde amnesia due to trauma brought on by his drug-use, meaning that he forgot a last years of his life, forgot he was a rock star and went back to painting like he had done as a child. He had other mental issues for sure, he could barely communicate and even watching the TV was too hard for him.

@822lifetrip Syd got a lot of royalties from '67 til his death, he never had to get a job and left millions to his family when he died.

i love Syd. All of his music is so prescious but what tosser took this footage. Syd wanted nothing of it he was living another life, perhaps a life which for him was no tragedy at all, the only tragedy for him was the tossers who took this footage and the others which would not let him leave his past behind. You can love his pasy as i do but there was no excuse for rubbing his face in it, he clearly needed to leave it behind

This is stomach turning sad. Syd what they did to you was horrible, not picking you up for band practice one day then not having contact with you for 7 years.... They missed out.
