Why can't the new Sesame Street be as great as the old one? Heck, even at 15 I learned some things from it, like from watching them skate at the beginning I figured out how to skate, and I learned a bit of sign language as well.

Oscar can be a real douchebag sometimes

@wildcats8530 yeah it scared me too! the music was a bit creepy and the fact it looked like someone was walking up to big bird and when he opened his eyes the mysterious person was gone.

@MrJohnnyv1993 i agree with you, i am so glad Elmo wasn't around when i was growing up :D
-
@wildcats8530 Same here! It gave me shivers.

This is a classic. I agree... Elmo can take a hike. Old school Sesame Street cannot be replaced.

a pleasure to watch this on a special christmas Eve.pariently the purpose of christmas is the time we celebrate the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ and we tell story about the bethlehem, the shepherds and the wiseman.

Watching this makes me wish I could've visited 1970's New York City. I was born in 1979, a year after this special was taped and aired.

@wildcats8530 Me too! I was afraid to go to sleep one night because I thought Santa might come in and watch me sleep. Scary.

When I was a kid when Big Bird was on the roof, and when he fell asleep, they played that music.. and it scared the crap out of me lmao
