@hagar707 TY the one I have is the one you have I found 2 at thrift stores less than $3 ea so I got a great deal they are to be used in the event we loose power. I tried it washed a load of clothes and the thing works excellent for a trucker on the road that wants to travel light. I recall I use to carry over a weeks clothes I wore shorts and T shirt and had a few coveralls that was the best way to travel light. I carried 3 pair of wool socks I washed 2 pair when I showered dried in window.

Nice video . I have the same set up. I take about an hour and a half to get all my clothes for a week washed, spun dry, and hung on the drying rack. I find it very satisfying that I can wash my own clothes and have them clean and dry and not have to lug my clothes to the laundromat.
I bought one of these wonder washers today at Good will $3. I didn't know it cost ~$50 I was thinking a 5 gallon bucket couple of bungee cords to hold the lid in place. Stick it in a hammock then a couple of bungee cords to keep in the hammock then shake for a few min and you have the same device and a hammock to boot. The kid dropped my wonder wash and it fractured I have silicone on it right now I hope that works if not I will use a bucket and a hammock will do a video if it works.

@cdltpx I'm not too sure that your bungee cord bucket idea would work, but it's worth a shot. After all, the idea behind the Wonderwash is the pressure seal that creates pressure inside the canister, forcing the soap and water through the clothing. In the end though, a good amount of soap and water and agitation will work, although it may take quite a bit longer to achieve a similar result.

@hagar707 That vessel is not pressurized it just adjitates the soap the seal is under pressure but not pressure is added to the wash unless the washing process produces gasses that cause pressurization but this device has no sound of pressurization it just has a seal to pervent leaking. Yet to try it. You would not believe it but I found another device like this one at Salvation army and it was in better shape with a bottom drain. It cost less than the good will device now I need a wringer.

@cdltpx it actually is pressurized. When you add warm or hot water and firmly seal the lid, the air inside the drum absorbs the heat and expands, forcing soap and hot water through the porous fabric.

@hagar707 When I take the lid off there is no venting the shell of this is not strong enough for pressure. A fraction of a pound of pressure to me is not enough to say this is the reason the device works.

@cdltpx there are many different manufacturers of this product. Imitation products are inferior and have many reported flaws. I suggest you refer to the Wonder Wash's manufacturer who provide a warranty and satisfaction guarantee at the Laundry Alternative. I have tried many different methods of hand washing clothing for my family and this was by far the best. It removes stains from clothing like no other method. Regardless of it's method, it works.
