Jazz Mannahatta is dedicated to the 400 years old ties between New York and The Netherlands. In september 1609 Henry Hudson sailed to Manhattan, trying to find a short passage to The Orient for the VOC ( Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie) . Instead he found Manhattan where later New Amsterdam would be founded by the Dutch, the rest is history............................

  • The best pickguard look has the binding going into the cut out shape next to the pickup. (like the original style for the gibson CC in 1936.) Lovely guitar, but there's something about the black and white on the pickup that requests a guitar done in a very dark color with light binding....Looks like you've installed a CC pickup on that GIbosn L5 from around 1940 in the background...wow. Got a favorite amp for jazz guitar? I'm still using my Roland Acoustic Chorus 100. This video is sweet.

  • thanks for the comments, the L5 belongs to Axel Hagen, has a replacement neck done probably at the Gibson factory and the pickup is Gibson factory installed

I use my Ampeg SuperJet combo with great sound for jazz, it's a tube re-issue amp

  • Thanx Kees, appreciate it ! Daniel
