A beautiful bowl built from 5 boards glued together, cut into 4 triangles, glued into a square and turned on a lathe.

  • Like your shop benches and cabinets in the background!!! Nice bowl too!!!!

  • I bet you think this is real special and you're real proud of what you've made. WELL YOU SHOULD BE IT'S BEAUTIFUL DAMN IT.

  • WOW!That was Awesome! I'm going to try that.Thanks!

  • Nice bowl. Nice tools to boot! Most of us try with such lesser gear.

  • @djbs66 In my school days we had chance to make a bowl on the lathe. We also glued a block to the base, our teacher told us to glue a paper towel both sides and sandwich it between the block and base. When the bowl was finished and you removed the block the paper was supposed to split along its ply's leaving a layer on both pieces? Yes it normally worked!

  • Can I ask: what did you finish your bowl with to seal it for food? I've heard a number of things, including shellac.... call me curious!

  • Fantastic!! Thank you.

  • A piece of railroad—What a great idea for a gravity clamp.
