this is slow i saw much better speed transfer by Thunderbolt, anyway dont expect too much max is about 700 MB/s but average about 100-140 MB/s this is much better than USB 3.0.
I dont know but USB 3.0 in test has average 80-85 MB/s and max is about 95MB/s.
Weird is that Firewire 800 get result about 70-75 MB/s and max 85MB/s. ...
I think FW is best for now this connect can charge 4x faster than USB that is really nice ;)

thats still really fast though.

It all depends on the speeds of both hard drives, and considering that both are discs and not SSD then your not going to see nor reap the full potential of the technology.

I am not impressed at all! I figured it would be way faster than that.

only like 800 megabits per second and it says 10 gigabits per second on apples site

Thats crazy! So i guess its transferring at the max speed of the hard drive?
i would guess so :P i expected to see something a bit faster . I probably will be getting a SSD for my iMac soon and then compare :P
