FCBCTV's Black History Moment
Featuring Oscar Micheaux
Hosted by Donivan David

Faithful Central Bible Church
333 W. Florence Avenue
Inglewood, CA 90301

Before there was a Spike Lee, Jon Singleton, or Tyler Perry, there was Oscar Micheaux, the first African American feature filmmaker.

During his illustrious career, Micheaux wrote, produced and directed 44 feature films and wrote 7 novels, one of which became a national bestseller.

The Producers Guild of America called him the most prolific black-if not the most independent filmmaker in American cinema.

We celebrate Oscar Micheaux for his extraordinary contributions to film making.
