C64 with it's unique Design of that legendary 8 bit machine reflects even in the small details, like Keys, and Ports. This close up view will be familiar to many of you, as if you just turned it off last night, and it just waits for you to return after school/or job just like back in the days... agree?

Hey nothing against 64bit machines with fat 3D-Chips, but they don't mean the same to us, and they can't...

  • The old stuff is never forgotten... COMM 64, always in my mind, but even more in my heart!

  • @Malasawas Agree.... ;-)

  • Unfortunately the design celebrated in this video belongs to VIC 20.... you should have used C64C instead - the real face of Commodore 64

  • @maiki60fps @maiki60fps it's true. But it really got super famous along with C64. At least here in Europe the users and future owners declined the new C64C Design, they bought the old designed C64 as long as stocks did last... and even till today no one really thinks about the C64C as someone mentions the C64 they all (we all) have got the image of this wonderful old (VIC) Design! It's such a unique and loved Design, only the Mac 128k can compete with this rank!

  • There has never been a computer since the 64 that has lasted for so long without serious upgrades...this machine, in its original, un-upgraded state, remained on the market for ten years. How many other computers can pull that off?

    Simply the greatest computer of all time.

  • no it was the best, not just one of the best

  • Ah the good old days of PETSCII.

    Why can't we have ASCII fonts opn today's keyboards?

    Instead I can't even put a damned ? on a Windows file name.

  • 10 for n=0 to 15:poke 646,n:print chr$(18);

  • What I don't get about the Commodore 64 is, the keyboard`is kind of the main part.

  • Commodore 64 for ever........................

  • I have a commie 128 as my 1st computer. I still miss it.

  • @rollicker

    It was 12 years Actually!! 1982-1994

    and it was probably 'discontinued' because Commodore was planning on filing for bankruptcy, even though the new A1200's came out a year before and people were lined up to buy them, Commodore was not keeping up with the demand. it was a travesty

    I believe it would have sold longer with adjusted pricing &downsizing the drive BECAUSE it is Easy&great for young children to LEARN computers, programming, & Play on, compared to Game consoles or PCs!!
