I could be wrong, but Bud looks like a Bolivian Military Macaw (Ara M. Boliviana).
I mention it because our first Military (Ju-ju) is either a standard Ara M. Militaris or a Mexican (Ara M. Mexicana) but our newest (8 week old chick) was sold as a Bolivian, so I've been crawling the tube and net looking for the differences.
Bud looks pretty awesome and it seems like the greyhounds weren't going to upset him. Thanks for sharing.
And how is he doing with the greys? I have 6 lovebirds and Andra ignores them. She sleeps on her back in her crate when the birds are free, all sprawled out on her back... lol I think they can learn to curb their "hunting" instinct, do you agree?
