Look of DVX100a

Test footage from the Panasonic DVX100a. With filters applied, I'm often amazed myself at the filmic qualities of the footage.

Although most of the footage here became muddled in the compression, you can still get a sense of the quality.

How do you get the quality so good on youtube? I have the dvx but no matter what i do, when i upload the video on youtube the quality goes to hell. Please help me

Although the quality of this vid is good, it can be much better, especially w/YouTube's increased quality setting: "High quality." If you go to squido(dot)com/youtuberight you can find a good article (very long) about uploading in high quality. Follow the 10 steps. You can find the 10 steps just a bit bellow the middle of the page. The headline reads "Encoding H.264 Videos For YouTube". I'm editing on Premiere & aside from the H.264 encoder, I can tweak just about every one of those settings.

@CircleofShit The buffalo filter is from the Magic Bullet software which came with my camera. It gives the video a bit more contrast and makes the colors a bit more vibrant.

Yup, it was shot in 4:3. Widescreen was done in post with a simple matte.
