try learning to speak these Cherokee words set to an old southern spiritual tune usually heard with words "Amen" this one has the literal translation of "amen" which in Cherokee is "Let it Be that way" or "nasgigwo winigalsd"
This is presented in phonetics as it would be said/spoken in Big Cove on the Qualla in NC. Notice the intrusive /dialectical "H" sound again in this distinctive dialect. Singing helps us remember so use this tune to learn the syllabary and to remind you to conclude your prayers with "Nasgigwo Winigalsd" instead of the English Corruption of "E me nv".
Na sgi gwo
wi ni ga l(i) s d(a)
literally means "Let it be that way"
which is what "Amen" actually means (its not an english word either) so this is more accurate really.
oh yes, btw (BY THE WAY) in Cherokee there is no set word order, so its ok to say it either way... either
nasgigwo winigalsd OR winigalsd nasgigwo is hawa.
For the sake of time an brevity I don't always show that but the word order in the Cherokee language is very flexible and moves around alot in a very fluid and beautiful way that can be confusing to those who learned English first.
